Lomitas was created with the aim to provide fully organic coffee, obtained from fresh beans that have not undergone a rigorous roasting process, or been subjected to a large amount of preservatives, evident in much of the food and drink we consume today.

Lomitas was born from a dream of Shirley, Caleña in London who started drinking green coffee on her vacation in Colombia.

She returns and decides to explore new ideas of green coffee of a different coffee, an opposite version of conventional coffee in which the coffee is not roasted, its a 100% organic coffee and which retains all its properties, offering many benefits in each cup of coffee.

We believe that green coffee provides excellent health benefits, which can be rewarding when included with a balanced diet, alongside a harmonious lifestyle full of physical exercise.

Our coffee is bought directly from the best farmers in Colombia

We work closely with like-minded importers sourcing great beans. The team at Lomitas are from Cali, Colombia, and are wanting to make certain that we are 100% responsible for monitoring our coffee production, ensuring our farmers receive an ethical cost of living but most importantly, that we work directly with the farmers in improving their working conditions, by finding collaborative ways to ensure that we are caring for the environment they work in.

Green coffee does not have the same process as black or roasted coffee because the seeds are "raw." In other words, they did not go through the roasting process that usual coffee does and therefore retains and keeps intact its antioxidant properties, which are very beneficial for the metabolic system and for general health. Chlorogenic acid and caffeine are both responsible for the healthy food status of green coffee, more specifically chlorogenic acid is an antioxidant, and it is known that green coffee has more chlorogenic acid (between 6% and 7%) compared to the roasted variety (which is lost during the roasting process). Chlorogenic acid is rapidly absorbed and metabolized by the body, which means that our bodies can easily take advantage of its many health benefits.
